    <3 this.

It's literally the perfect combo - design tool + prototyping + resources + site building tool.

Really interesting take on how to communicate with clients your principles for how good, solid, creative work actually gets produced (no we aren't products!)

"In web design, navigation is second only to content. You need good content to sell your ideas, but that content won’t mean much if your users can’t find what they’re looking for."

    So true.

For me, the jury is still out regarding the overall ux of this website, especially on mobile and definitely for impaired user, but I really enjoyed how she made the pages on her site a part of the design.

I've never seen something like this and was wondering what you all thought?

I just heard about UX Library the other day... this is a nice article from the curator, Taylor Palmer.

I am definitely going to get into some of these over the holiday break - super excited to sit down and examine Brad Frost's Atomic Design eBook.

    Thanks, Brendon!

And yes, definitely right re: demanding clients ;) I have to say it actually makes working with them a whole lot easier because I can just send them access and show them what's up without actually going to their business and presenting (saves time + gas, yay!)

If you log onto the platform, take a look in the "Inspiration" option and you will find the Webydo themes. I designed / built all of them and would love feedback if you're up for it.

Thanks for the feedback, Nathan. Happy to hear what you have in mind. You can shoot an email to nurit@webydo.com :)

As for the revolutionary part, well yes, there's a lot of software out there for web designers. What there isn't, is a business-oriented platform that focuses on what designers really need to run their business, delivering on that need. Without being overly promotional, I'd like to think that Webydo does, especially where it counts with it's client-friendly built-in CMS, full control of design...kinda like Photoshop but in the cloud and abilities as far as SEO optimization is concerned.

Preach! In-browser web design is where it's at.

Obviously learning how the car works is important to making the best car possible, but if it's already built and I can adjust the structure and design while keeping structural integrity and customizing to fit my needs, I like that option for now ;)

As for Webydo, specifically, having an automatically-generated, client-friendly CMS where I can lock aspects of my design so they cannot go in and mess it up also doesn't hurt.

  • Posted to Design Terms Your Non-Techie Client Doesn't Know, Nov 22, 2016

I would probably add SEO terms here as well, especially when we are talking web development. They really go hand-in-hand and most clients think they know what SEO is... but don't. They just think it's where you are in Google ;)

Might want to explain on-page SEO versus site-wide SEO.
