I write all the markup and stylesheets at my company. Get to collab with the frontend end guys to see my designs come to life. I used to do a lot of "handoff" in the past but something always falls through the cracks. I took the opportunity to learn more frontend skills so I could be in charge of design implementation.
Also I can just make my own branch and polish to my heart's content, get it merged in and be stoked on it. Haven't actually designed anything in Illustrator or Sketch in weeks
COMING TO A THEATRE NEAR YOU
The interaction in which you drag down or up to change photos is amazing
For some reason I expected a lot more search UI to browse the black things. Sweet UI style though, murder is right
Yeah it's called Illustrator, it's also "Sketch for ___" because sketch has a singular focus and Illustrator doesn't
Isn't the short answer: use them together for maximum awesome?
Documenting process is a good way to show a client what it's like to work with you and how a project unfolds. A lot of clients think design is a black box where you put money and ideas in and get something shiny on the other side. You've seen those diagrams showing how chaotic the creative process is, showing your process gives some insight into the chaos for non-designers
Either way showing your process can never hurt you, so I don't see why not
I went to school for a BFA in Design & Digital Photography, but had a website design side business the whole time, next thing I know I'm doing a little frontend work
I've been working in Design professionally for about 10 years now, and have never met another designer with a Master's degree. I've learned so much from hands on experience—and looking back at it—no program in any school could have replaced that, let alone exceeded it. Blaze your own trail man, don't let your parents throw away money
