In Fireworks I rarely use layers. I think having different tools for selection (groups, elements, elements that are in the background) will help partially, even better is there are shortcuts for these actions. For more complex scenarios like masks, layers are probably too much. Maybe a floating palette that shows up ONLY when you've selected an element that's within a mask?
Nice trick! thanks for clarifying
Interesting angle, Ben.
In that case it's almost like: if you use third person that book better be good! ;)
The most unfair part of all this is, by posting that screenshot the way he did it, he's helping them spread the message about TweetDeck now having a Teams functionality. I didn't know and now I do. Even though I think plagiarism sucks, it's an interesting feature I would like to check out :/
Can you design sites for my Pebble?
Great article. I loved how you embrace different levels of detail. I some times do just high level visualizations of distribution, sometimes the situation begs for you to specify more details that speak to visual design.
