  • Posted to Why Google Design Sprint sucks, Apr 07, 2018

I respect your approach and wanting to present your product design process, but this article, and your personas article, are much too long. I was completely lost on WHY your approach is better than a Google Design Sprint – I think you told us more about Google's sprint then your own solution. You might have a valid point, but I was lost in such a long winded article.

I'm designing a large enterprise application for desktop and tablet. Current file size is 51.7mb. Other mobile applications I've designed have typically been smaller file sizes though.

Looks like that time my kindergartner drew notebook lines for me. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Working on an enterprise dev/design team we don't have some of the same flexibility to use what we want like a small team, but I'm pretty happy with what we have in comparison to other large companies. We get the choice of Mac or Windows laptop, which is pretty nice.

I have a very similar project workflow to what you listed. Since you like the Kanban/Scrum process you should try Jira. My old job used Asana and the change to Jira at my new job has been great.

  • Posted to Ask DN: Where Do You Keep Your UI Experiments?, in reply to Lee Hord , Jun 03, 2016

I agree. I have been doing this and it integrates really well with Sketch.

For UI prototypes I save my code to either codepen.io or github.

Don't Make Me Think is a great read about usability.

I'm also a huge fan of the A Book Apart series.

Good design doesn't sell itself. Be ready to confidently sell your design solutions to the client.
