tldr: negative reviews negatively affect your business.
Olivia Seitz, almost 5 years ago I think the deeper lesson here is that your customer service and reputation management matter... a lot. And if you don't have those under control, a trust seal won't help anything.
Conversely, if you've collected great feedback from shoppers, those trust seals only reinforce your positive reputation. And that leads to more sales.
