This isn't an apples to apples comparison though. The image on the left is a view of a regular account profile that you follow, so naturally the content is more visible. The image on the right is a view of your own business profile (in a different language), which serves a different purpose and has different actions.
I know (it's my account). I had to turn off the business profile and revert to a personal profile. The "email" line takes a ton of space, same goes for the "featured stories" and there is no other way to hide them. All profiles have less visible content now, I know some people who put only 1 line of text in their bio so that more of their images are visible.
Definitely. Apples-to-apples, the content has hardly changed.
Yes! Thank you. In fact, the colours are muted to be more content first.
Wait, apps evolve...?
Usually yes, unless Facebook buys them. When it happens the app first evolve then start to get crippled by too many features then the UI start to break apart and the users get annoyed and then eventually stop using it.
Is the difference the fact that you now have to scroll before seeing any images?
Yes, mostly
Not sure where you have to do that honestly. Your profile page is crowded, but not the other pages - Browsing, visiting other profiles. Instagram has always been content first and now they are posting their most content first medium, stories up and clear on the home.
I wish DN had flairs like Reddit so this could be marked [MISLEADING] based on the comments below.
Crazy how it's not at all CONTENT first anymore....
It's money and brands FIRST now :)
