    Has anyone given this one a try? If so, how does it compare to VVV for example? Would love to know if I could use this to replace my current WordPress development workflow.

      I don't think they're very similar. VVV is a VM. This is just a front-end build system that uses gulp plugins to interact with (an already setup) PHP Environment. I think you'll also need a running DB setup as well since the docs say: "If you are running a fresh installation, you will have to setup the general informations for the WordPress wizard (site name, description, database etc…)."
