I've tried many of them and no one suits to my needs. I need something very simple, like https://redpen.io (but I need something for live web pages, I don't want to upload screenshots)
You can try Genius https://genius.com/web-annotator I heard it's good, but personally I'm using Futuramo Visual Tickets https://futuramo.com/apps/visual-tickets - I'm afraid you cannot annotate over live web pages, but it works really well when it comes to exchanging visual feedback with colleagues. Cheers!
Genius is the kind of simple interaction I'm looking for, but the annotation highlights are a bit too subtle, and I can't make annotations in empty spaces, icons or backgrounds (just text)
I've used TrackDuck (https://trackduck.com/) before, and it worked really well. It adds comments onto a page, but also takes screenshots for more context, and it also gathers browser and OS info for reproducing. They were acquired by InVision recently, so who knows what that means.
TrackDuck seems to be a very good product, but I need something less complicated, and I want to be able to share the feedback quickly, also with people that don't have an account
+1 I'd love to know this too.
Userback (https://www.userback.io) is a visual feedback tool for websites. It's very easy to use and is a great way to get visual feedback from any web page. You simply add the feedback widget to your website (or use the browser extension) and take annotated screenshots with your feedback. It also integrates with tools like Jira, Slack and Trello which saves a lot of time when it comes to managing feedback.
Full disclosure: I now work for Userback but was also previously using it for years in previous roles. It's a great tool :)
(I have no affiliation with this app) Came across this self-hosted solution using WordPress which allows you to comment on live sites.
