Glad to see there are at least 20% still leaning partly right. ;) Hey, diverse perspectives, right?
I'm also glad to see that of the left leaning majority the overwhelming amount is libertarian-left.
I don't think it means much, most people claim to be one thing and then are very much the other in practice.
I know plenty of libertarian righties/lefties who are authoritarian when it suits them, or are libertarian in college and then authoritarian when they grow up (But are still designers).
The most fun is when you tell a mixed group that libertarians are naive and authoritarians are dicks. Whooo fireworks!
Haha all very true points! My centrism isn't really popular with anyone, but I try and be reasonable with everyone.
So how is it exactly that the only options are to be authoritarians or libertarians?
It uses https://www.politicalcompass.org for consistency, which looks at auth/lib as well as economic left/right. It's fairly comprehensive. What would you add?
Centrists, for one. There's also a wide diaspora of political affiliations between authoritarianism and libertarianism.
If your result on the graph appears near the middle, that means you're a centrist... unless I've misunderstood your point?
