6. Negative value for shadow spread.

  This pulls the shadow inward from each side so that it's not as wide as the source layer, right? I don't think I've ever tried this in CSS before.

No 3 is possible with copy and paste style already, its an extra click but yeah does the job.
+1000 for no 5, Craft is hot garbage this sort of feature needs to be native to the app.
