Looks great otherwise
Looks great. Clear content, no bullshit effects. Well done!
just downloaded it, and so far, i have to say the interface is quite nice..
however...
at this point i don't see switching over from Stanza.
the controls in Stanza for font size, etc. are a lot better (ie, i can make the font 'exactly' the size i want...not just choose from some predefined sizes) also, in stanza you can download right in the app from places like tuebl.com until you can replicate that, i dont' see much point in switching....
If you look back a few years, you can see the absolute insanity that happened when Stanza wasn't updated to the latest version of iOS... i rather expect that will happen again as well....amazon bought stanza and has no real need to keep it (as it's a competitor in a way to kindle for ios)
anyhow, when that happened, people went nuts and there were several message boards heating up with people looking for replacement apps that were as good... and none were.... but, as it happens, a lot of app builders were listening, and were doing their best to try and create a new e-book reading app that would be as good as Stanza....
anyhow, my advice would be to really take a good look at what Stanza does.... obviously your design is LIGHT YEARS ahead....but it's the functionality that goes along with it that needs some looking at...
all the best tyson
Installed and trying it out for the week. Looking forward to some better explore features but already found a couple to read with some scrolling.
Awesome! This is just the beginning. Let us know what you're really missing and we'll work on it for you.
At the moment we have a bigger explore section on iOS.
We updated our landing page!
Awesome work, Alex. You guys are absolutely killin' it.
Thanks Connor!
