Hmmh it's ok for your work tittle, but let be honest you need a designer.
Nice clean layout. Not a fan of the sideways navigation on the left side of the page. It's pretty hidden, and I can just picture my vis com professor from college yelling about sideways text.
Several of the works have "coming soon" disclaimers so I can't really judge the case studies that well.
Thanks for the feedback!
The sideways navigation is an attempt at de-emphasizing that content as it is not the primary focus of my portfolio. Just some add-ons that do or don't need to be explored by visitors. More of a stylistic decision than a design-best-practices concern.
And for the case studies, I found that I was delaying the release of the entire portfolio by struggling to complete the very long (but important and detailed) case studies sections. I chose to write up the short-hand versions for now while I work on the more in-depth case studies in the background. They are coming VERY soon though!
Again, thanks for the feedback!
Really nice site! Like all the little details and animations.
Thanks Benjamin!
Dude huge fan of your work, and I use your products regularly! (DO & mongo). I'd be curious in how you landed those jobs - it's the kind of place I'd want to go with my career
10/10
Thanks Eliot! Happy to hear you're a fan! If you want to chat some more about career related stuff, shoot me an email! I'd be happy to speak to you about it. colin.keany at gmail.com
Really like this, lots of great content and polish.
One thing I noticed, the only way into your case studies is to click the little 'CASE STUDY' badge, that felt a little unintuitive, maybe make the image and title clickable too?
Thanks Tim, this is solid feedback! I'll look into implementing a better solution for the case studies.
Yay! I like the small animations, like the hands and hovering on them links. Nice colors and the resume is clean and concise. :-)
Thanks Markus, wanted to keep it subtle throughout!
Great portfolio, Colin! Love the resume too. Looks simple and elegant.
Thanks Ollie!
This looks really nice, the lab and resume sections as well!
Thanks Tycho!
Me likey. Digging the motion in the logo.
Thanks Michael!
Great colors and typography. Good stuff!
Thanks Matt!

Thanks Robert!
