So I see this argument a lot. And I get it. But I think it only applies to the low end of the complexity spectrum. Imagine trying to make every feature of Photoshop obvious. Or SPSS. Or any other top-level professional application. As apps become more complex and actually require more features and advanced functionality, making every thing obvious probably gets in the way more than it helps.
I think the argument here is any interface you would need would be possible through extending the device with accessories. These are the ideas we are referring to in the episode:

This would extend to VR/AR platforms as well. Having one code base with many UIs depending on the connected accessories.
