I personally feel the business model would have worked better with a one off fee for the app plus additionally packs you can buy and install. Monthly bills for presentation shots is maybe a hard business to sell.

  Exactly what I was thinking. There cant be that many businesses out there that constantly produce that amount of mockups. I wouldn't even buy packs. Buying individual mockups like a regular stock image site would suit me the best.

  Exactly, why not to make different devices and angles purchasable? Far better option than a monthly fee.

  There is a free tier, but a subscription is needed for more mockups and updates.
