Personally, I'm looking for more than the standard TechCrunch / HN / TNW to supplement my reading list.

What sites do you frequently visit, aside from DN?

I use Fever as an RSS reader because it's self-hosted and supports Reeder for iOS and macOS. However, the creator is pretty spotty with customer support and I have to restart my server every few days to fix a MySQL error that I can't pin down.
Does anyone use an RSS reader service they can heartily recommend? (Note: Feedly is not an option for me, as it ignores certain feeds that I need it to not ignore.)

  I'm using https://newsblur.com/ Very active developer. Includes iOS and Android apps. There even appears to be a self hosted option https://github.com/samuelclay/NewsBlur
