I don't know. I'm a bit uncomfortable whenever Google tried to make something like this. To me it's like a middle-aged man wearing kiddie clothes and saying. "Look at me, I totally understand teenagers!".
Kind of like exactly what Apple did with iMessages in the recent update?
Yeah.... That's... Creepy.
seems strange that this is a standalone app and not an update to Google Hangouts.
Am I the only one who thinks it's really dangerous to let a bot suggest suitable answers for you? In the case of a cute puppy it doesn't really matter. But what is the perspective of the bot/ai/algoritm on politics?
Don't worry, Allo is on Hillary Clinton's side.
No, I totally agree. The more decisions we offload onto software, the more the makers of said software get to make our decisions for us. The "bigness" of problems solved in code these days requires more ethics and morality than ever – who should die in a self-driving car when on a collision-course with a biker, the person in the car or the biker? If someone receives a cute pic of a dog in a text, do we recommend an emoji or sentence as a response?
Can't believe they actually used that "The Selfie Generation" stock photo....
Not in Ireland, it hasn't...
I'm based in Spain but, I didn't receive it yet >(
iPhone only. Fail.
Have you checked your eye prescription lately?
Um, I'm very near-sighted, but my eyes are fine in this case. Not sure why you're taking a shot at my vision. When I view the app in the App Store, I see that is only available for iPhone, it's not a universal app. So when I say "iPhone only", yes, I mean there is no native iPad version. Hope that makes it clearer for you.
Then be more specific with "no native iPad version". "iPhone only. Fail." is broad and is easily misinterpreted.
Btw. I'm also very near-sighted.
Then, if you're not clear on something, how about asking for clarification instead of reflexively taking a shot?
No, you're absolutely right. I'm sorry.
Welllll.... We all read it the same as you mate.
Yeah I agree with Louis and You... I thought the same thing lol.
I agree with Greg.
Don't apologise bro, you're right.
If you meant, no iPad version, then I apologize.
iPhone only = No iPad version
Also: iPhone only = no Android version.
Yeah not really. I think a lot of people interprets that as "No Android"
iPhone only = iPhone only
Point taken, point taken. I was replying from the perspective of an iPhone user. I can see how iPhone only might be taken as no Android.
Please tell me you're not a UX-designer ;P
