Pasting in text never retains the properties.. This x1000 for me. Very pleased.

Very pleased about this! No more pasting to text editor first and copying it from there. :)

Command + Shift + V works as well so you don't need the alternate workaround.

Option + Shift + Command + V also works for this. Seems like a fistful, but it sure is (was?) a time-saver.

This was always a preference setting though. If you go to Sketch > Preferences > Layers and check Strip Text Style when pasting all text should paste in the style predefined by the text box itself instead of overriding. I am guessing they just changed the default setting in this case.

Simplifies how Sketch deals with text layers; resizing from the bottom no longer increases the font size and when resizing text in a group, the font size is no longer scaled up.

Yesss. Lots of improvements to resizing in this update.

I love how DN has become the go-to place for Sketch releases just like HN is the go-to place for when GitHub is down.

All I care about is being able to scale a symbol without having to detach it.

First thing I looked for in the changelog, too bad no sign of improvement. :(

Did we just get resizable button symbols?! Might be a small thing, but it's going to be super helpful.

Jumping from Sketch 3.8.3 to Sketch 39 must mean almost 36 versions of improvement right? :D

(this is apparently also the 39th comment)

I'm having crazy long load times on my canvas after I move the view around (by zooming or panning).

No crashes but I'm getting a ton of lag in documents I've never had issues with before. Love the feature updates though.

Same here. Moving objects with keyboard is super laggy. Especially when they are under groups.

Renaming layers seems to be broken.

It appears there might be some issues with this release and the InVision Craft plug-in. I am not able to sync document colors (or possibly any styles) since updating.

Craft just had an update today too. Have you tried checking for a Craft update to see if that fixes it?

I think it’s safer to design with code at this point.

Who needs Sketch Cloud when there’s a plenty of options out there both for sharing and storing in the cloud? Sketch has gone the way of Adobe.

What's out there to design with code? (genuine)

Because it's built in? If it cuts some hassle (even if its first world problem hassles) then people will use it. Haven't used it yet so it may be bad, but if its the case of pressing a button in the app I'm using and getting a link I can quickly post then of course people are going to use it.

Exactly. Why do I need any other softwares to do same thing? Just because they're popular in industry? No thanks.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just because they released a feature you don't find interesting. Remember that at all points they are listening to the needs of a massive audience and finding how they can fit solutions in the market.

Honestly I converted (and all my teams since) to Sketch 3 years ago. Often times I've had to be patient because of software kinks, but they have always been quick on the fixes. My initial $99 have been stretched to generate a lot of revenue, both personal and to the companies I've worked with. I find it hard to complain about that and Sketch is still the best option out there–at least IMO.

Sounds like a great update. But is it save? Issues anyone?
