InVision buying this plugin in 3, 2, 1...
Raffaello- funny you should say this. This one actually came out of the Design Tools Hack day event in Hamburg, Germany. And our very own Aby (formerly Silver Flows, now InVision) was part of the team that built it. :)
This is really cool, although I should note that the OS X "Help" menu allows activating menu items in any app. You customize the keyboard shortcut for activating it in System Preferences.
Yup, I think Runner is "One Ring to rule them all" :)
The Help is a great start indeed! Runner streamlines this experience and offers more advanced functionality. You can for example select a layer and apply a shared style if it's a shape, and a text style if it's a text layer. I'm not sure but I think you can't do that with Help :)
It's like Alfred for Sketch.
Exactly the same thought. This as an Alfred workflow would be pretty sweet.
command line interfaces are so hot right now.
Hi there, I'm Niko and part of the awesome team that created Sketch Runner. If you have any questions just let us know @sketch_runner
We hope we can make your Sketch live a little bit easier.
Greetings from Munich - Niko
I've been thinking through a SketchVim plugin for a while but wasn't sure if I'd ever get around to actually building it.
Now I might not have to! Cool stuff.
Would be great if you could just type the initial of the tab and have it move to that.
So typing "c " would bring you over to create instead of having to tab over. Bit like Alfred.
Why you guys had chosen such an annoyed song for the video.
Thank you padre - a product video which isn't backed by xylophones and twee guitars. Also, Runner looks great!
This is really cool. Navigating to different artboards in large sketch file has always been a pain.
Fantastic work. Ditto on being "Alfred for Sketch". One drawback right now is you have to start search with first word of the item. If/when you add ability to search for any keyword within an item it’ll really fly.
Alfred for X is my new favorite product category
I feel really dumb. How does one pull up the command field? :P I can't find it anywhere.
Plugins > Runner or Command + ' None seem to work for me, however. I'm running Sketch 3.7.1 on OS X Yosemite.
There are some known issues with OS X 10.10 Yosemite. Will be fixed in the next update. Stay tuned! :)
Ah OK. I'm on 10.11.4. The plugin flyout doesn't show anything for Runner and the hotkey doesn't seem to work.
Super excited for this though. I've switched almost entirely to searching and running programs through spotlight recently. This seems perfect for Sketch :D
Anyone else having difficulties getting it to work? Using the latest version of Sketch (3.7.1)
Same here. Running 3.7.1 and it's doesn't pull up. Even going to Plugins > Runner doesn't result in anything. Restarted Sketch: issue still present.
Ditto. Really excited about this, however!
Same here.
yep, same issue here as well.
I've been using it for about 20 minutes and, wow, this is super helpful. Nice work!
Great music in demo!
Thanks man! Got it from the Vimeo Music Store.
"Prance of the Ravening Eagle" by Kraus (kraus.co.nz/)
Ooooohhh wow. The ability to search for layers/symbols/styles is huge!
A suggestion for how to open a specific section more quickly:
Provide commands in the menu to directly open each section of Sketch Runner. That way we could assign custom keyboard shortcuts for, say, /run and /goto.
As someone who doesn't use Sketch (yet) this looks super useful. Props.
really cool. hope to support Chinese in the future.
This changes everything…
holy moly
Been using this through today, really helpful. Thanks so much for sharing this it's a generous and well-done piece of work.
Loving this plugin.
