As someone working in the sports app industry it will be really interesting to see if this will shake up everything or just die out like 90% of the other new livescore apps
I was wondering the same. Also makes you wonder how those other apps/companies feel when hearing news like this from mega-giants like FB.
I feel like this would be a better product if it was from Twitter. A separate app for only sports with Twitter's real time social network and strong back-end for live events.
I can't see myself ever using FB for sports commentary and updates.
why can't this exist for politics???
Stop tryin to be twitter, facebook
Another app from Facebook. Just being curious, how many people use the other apps from Facebook other than Facebook app (and probably Facebook messenger)?
It's not a separate app as far as I can tell - it's built into the original Facebook app.
Why would I watch my friend watching football? And if I'm watching via streaming platforms and others are watching live TV, now everything is just ruined by those few seconds' delay since Facebook starts putting all the spoilers together in one app!
It's not always about you, but what the majority of people do. When social shares hit their peaks (most Tweets, most shares) 50% of the time it is sports related.
They are following the data.
