Would there ever be a reason to make a general pricing matrix on your website of "Here's what I offer and here's what it costs"?

I've never seen anyone worth mentioning doing it and was just curious why not. Obviously it doesn't allow you to base your pricing on value but are there any advantages to doing it this way?
