Tools for qualitative user research

8 years ago from , Senior Product Designer

We're constantly doing qualitative user research in both our mobile apps team as well as in our website team at our company. Most of the time that's one-on-one interviews with our user researcher, one observer from the team and a user.

So far we used tools like Silverback for these sessions to record both what's happening on screen and the reactions of the user. For testing prototypes on mobile devices we've been playing around with Lookback.

Since these tools haven't been very reliable in the last couple of sessions (crashes, bad quality, ...) we're looking for alternatives.

Do you have any tipps or other tools you use? What does your setup look like? Let's share some insights here!

Looking forward to your ideas!
