Lovely.
This is the sort of thing I like seeing on DN. Someone actually making something beautiful and different rather than pointless blogs by people with nothing to say.
This feels like reading a glossy magazine on the Internet! Wow, great work Jack.
I really like this format.
This is great. I have been thinking about adding the same bandwidth control that he has in the bottom right so you can choose how high quality you want the photos or videos (up to 4K! though even that takes a while to load on my gigabit connection at work).
Who is Jack though? I want to follow him on Twitter but couldn't find anything on the site or in the domain registration.
That site is definitely gonna make me step up my game for my next photoset: http://paulstamatiou.com/
Incredibly creative way of telling a story, the domain is genius too.
This has the same polish and feel as some of the recent digital pieces from the New York Times (in a good way, not a derivative way). Truly exceptional work.
One of the most interesting example of storytelling I've seen lately. That's very interesting and inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Ups, the format / short video pieces / photos ... i can say only "perfect". Good work.
totally agree with you!
I love this, great storytelling!
Very nice format, and great use of video. The transitions are a bit off, but it's a small thing.
"Having everything in walking distance is a convenience I greatly miss in the west." Something some of us in the West also miss.
So great - I love the simplified storytelling.
Anyone know more about Jack, though? Really would like to follow him.
[removed - wrong jack :) ]
