Probably one of the best articles I've seen yet breaking down the actual icon treatments in iOS 7. There's some good stuff here along with the bad (like that awful Camera icon).

Superb article. Reflects my thoughts deeply. Especially on choose of color and use of metaphor cases. I found two spots which I disagree. One of which, he mentions about camera. He says: -It wasn’t skeuomorphic at all But I say -It's fully skeuomorphic because it represents a real looking camera lens with all reflections and shadings.

The other is calendar icon. He says -The old icon was probably the ugliest of all the iOS 6 icons. I disagree. I say - The choose of color is great and it expresses the current day with a thick font. On the new icon, day number is hardly seen because of light font.

Best article we're likely to see on the current state of iOS 7 icons. Gives credit to the good, and highlights what makes the bad bad.
