Still miss the camera-lens icon :-(
That iOS2 logo tho
And those iOS5 raindrops that always made me sad like a rainy day.
The article linked here only shows part of the story for some reason. There's a lot more that can be learned from the full infographic.
iOS 5/6 icons <3
It looks like all the iOS 2 icons were a little brighter for some reason.
It's taken me awhile to get used to some of the design changes in iOS 7, but in the grand scope of things, it definitely looks like an improvement.
Comment has nothing to do with the icon design in particular, but damn I miss the size of the iPhone 4/4S.
I just upgraded from the iPhone 4 to the 6 Plus. Wherever I pick up the old phone it feels like a miniature toy phone..
haha that's what I call a real upgrade ;-) I'm using the 5s, but don't want to upgrade to the 6...
According to this there's an icon 'update' every two years or so... let's hope iOS 9 brings something along those lines.
I wouldn't get your hopes up. It's more like a refinement when they feel it's necessary. Not any specific pattern.
I find it real interesting that originally the icons were right-aligned like OS X.
