Pandora is in the same boat with their mini-player. I'm the one of the few people that actually pay for the service, and paying users get a desktop application, which looks like this. http://pandoraradio.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/desktop.jpg

If you work at Pandora, show some love to your paying customers!

:) Oh man, I didn't know things were that bad.

Because I am curious, how come you still use pandora?

I get that question often. Two reasons:

Price. When I became a premium member it was $2/month this year it is up to $4/month, but even at that price it seems like an excellent value.

I seldom want to listen to an exact song. If you know the type of song, artists or genre you want to listen to, then Pandora is quite good at finding similar tracks. If there is one song that I'd like to hear, I'll go find it on YouTube.

Gotcha. Is it $4/month for web and app?

I have just become a person who binges on artists which means I use "Download to Mobile" function a lot rather than listening to the radio feature.

I took some time today to update rdio's mini player. I attached the various states of it as well.

You can see it on dribbble too: Rdio Mini Player
