    Lovely work.

I think the style suits some of the animals more than others, the Tortoise is beautiful, as is the first shell, the level of detail is perhaps quite high on some of the fish, which as mentioned begins to lose the impact of this style of illustration.

Appreciate the time and effort that has gone into this, perhaps be a little less defensive of something you've posted to share for opinions on a board full of designers :)

It's hard to understand emotion from just text :) I wasn't being defensive, the opposite, I am having a discussion on a discussion board!

    Great stuff.

Love the Game of Thrones ones especially.

Joined 1 day ago and already arguing on the boards though.. not usually how it's done.

Well, that was a pleasure to look at! I actually like that you took the time to do each shape by hand. It's the process and the time spent that I appreciate, not necessarily the images themselves, although they are beautiful. Cheers!!!

"a script can’t know that a tiny white dot in the eye is a reflection that gives emotion to the whole work."

I completely agree with this. There are certain visual features that the human brain has evolved to be sensitive to. Your work is breathtaking, especially the turtle. Digitally generated examples posted here just look cheap, in my opinion.

I recently started making free hand 3D printing pen art and while I know that my work will never be as perfect as something that's been made by a computer and a 3D printer, I like to think that it has more of a soul. Example: http://imgur.com/b8xmYaa

Hypnotic! I happened to be listening to this piano piece while checking them out - seemed to go together particularly well.
