    I think it's a fair point, not a negative one. The last bit resumes well:

    What Apple does best is take established ideas, build upon them, make good design3 decisions along the way, and execute well. It’s what they did with the iPhone and iPad before, and it’s what they did with the Apple Watch. It’s disappointing that they didn’t achieve the impossible, but I can’t really fault them for that.

    i like the point about the iPhone. everyone is waiting for the next iPhone, when really the iphone itself was just the best possible smartphone at that time

    Really interesting read. I definitely agree -- they seemed to solve the issue of the latest batches of watches looking too "techie" and made the watch desirable and somewhat fashionable, but the rest of the "problems" are still largely unsolved.
