For those with Yosemite and dark menu bar, I recommend 9% black (go to Desktop & Screen Saver > Solid Colors > Custom Color, and in Grey Scale Slider pick 9%).
It makes menu bar blend into desktop. Looks really cool to me: http://cl.ly/XVvE
NICE
I need to try this!!
Ooh that looks good.
Only problem is when your desktop loses focus (if you have multiple monitors) the menu bar lightens up a bit: http://i.imgur.com/JdJZdrn.png
A true classic:
Haha, this is so great. I'm gonna use this now.
Here is my current :

I second this.
Unsplash has been the source of my wallpapers for the last year. I'm using the one with the sheep.

It's a bit messy.
The Electromagnetic Spectrum Westinghouse Labs × Metapattern
Each ray is an order of magnitude in wavelength, from kilometers to nanometers. It's a reminder of how narrow the visible world is relative to the total field of reality.
Current:
Interesting! Colored cells? Looks like a desert also, haha.
Actually, it's blue marble paper !
Here's mine: #000000
I tend to go through The Fox Is Black's Desktop Wallpaper Project. Some real gems there.
holy shit these are legit
I had the tendency to auto switch between about 80 different wallpapers, but now I just use this one: http://i.imgur.com/vRPQlOJ.jpg
Look at that subtle colouring. The tasteful thickness.
Oh my God. It even has a watermark.
I normally use more than one for different monitors but this is one of my currents. Leyendecker
This is currently the one I am using. I took it myself at Lake Tahoe!
Great photo!
Mine:
Sword & Sworcery :) http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/17jtr89b6khj1png.jpg
Currently I'm using a pic of my neighbourhood. Brixton in London. It has a bad reputation so this reminds me how awesome it can be, sometimes.
I got Stevie G on my wallpaper.
Awesome, my favorite EPL player!
black cats forever
Im using this - http://i.imgur.com/KRzPIKz.jpg - combination of my favortie ampersands as well as the one from my own typeface (the center one)
Behance's Wallpaper app. Bloody amazing!

Using this as well. Just think it should have more options...
I'm using one of my own photos right now.
Using a lot of interfaceLIFT Wallpapers, they're great. Here's my current one http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper/D62a4783/03611_desertdark_2560x1440.jpg
I use https://www.desktoppr.co/ to find new wallpapers. I sync them to my dropbox and let my operating system rotate between all of them.
One of my favourites atm: http://cloud.vel.lu/image/1G2M0r1W2v2c

My current wallpaper is a photo I took of the Ryōan-ji zen garden in Kyoto, Japan on a trip there earlier this year. You're all welcome to use it as your desktop too if want (personal use only):
Thanks, I'm going to use this wallpaper right now!
I use a familiar pattern.

Just love that illustration.
Using this MVC2 (Or CVS2? Can't remember now) wallpaper as my main one:
And this DoDonPachi "cleaned up" screenshot for my second screen:
I like the second one because the (accidental) yellow bar only takes up the same space as the menubar, making it stand out more.
"Fail f**n often" from http://www.goodfuckingdesignadvice.com/features/wallpaper/
The poem "Sensation" by Arthur Rimbaud, in his handwriting, with a white background.
My wife, after our wedding, and our favorite band, Frontier Ruckus!
A bunch of drawings from one of my favorite illustrators, Matthew The Horse
I regularly go around http://wallbase.cc/ (which seems to be down at the moment) to grab a couple every month or two.
I work with several screens (iPad on one side, MBPro with a 21'' LG screen on the other, and my Nexus 4) so I usually change it on all of them based on a single theme. Right now I'm sporting motorcycles on all my screens.
I also like having different backgrounds for each MacOSX virtual desktop (I keep 3 per screen), so I can easily tell them apart.
Usually I rotate pictures that I took. My current wallpaper -> http://ryansrich.com/assets/img/about_img_two.png . This one has been saved for web but I have a super high res one.
Recently switched to this.
I'm using this bad boy across my two monitors.
A favorite of mine: http://jmp.sh/zJ6fgQc
I get everything from InterfaceLift. I have a whole folder full, about 1.7gigs of landscapey goodness.
Running dual screens, so here is my current setup -
On the Macbook Pro - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9320485/guardians_of_the_galaxy_movie-wide.jpg
On the main display - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9320485/guardians_of_the_galaxy_wallpaper3.jpg
(I'm a bit of a Marvel nerd. Recently switched to this about two months ago from some badass X-Men art.)
I get all my wallpapers from http://fiftyfootshadows.net/. John Carey is a great photographer and releases a lot of his photos as wallpapers.
no wall paper, just solid dark gray background on the mac and iphone.
Wim Crouwel Posters: http://www.pinterest.com/cdsimplicity/wim-crouwel/
Here is mine, awesome colors:
I have a bunch of beautiful nature and city photos and it changes everyday randomly. I like turning my imac on in the morning to see the new photo appear.
When I find a beautiful one, I dump it in the folder so I know it will appear some day.
I'm weird and just like an image centered in white. Usually grab an image from here: http://greyhandgang.com/
I'm currently using this: http://cl.ly/image/3E3w1p101w1n I love the future.
I'm using Billy Mawhinney's Polygon Calendar
I recommend this guy. Nice wallpapers. http://fiftyfootshadows.net/
