Does anybody know? I've spend already hours deleting it.
Draw a shape without it and then Edit - > Set Style as Default
- Create rectangle/ any shape object. disable the border.
- Go to menu bar: Edit > Set Style as Default
It's no longer in the Edit menu. The new path to set a default shape setting is: Layer > Style > Set as Default Style
thanks a lot
this reply really should be pinned on top of the answer list
Else create shape then click B
Also: the "B" and "F" hotkeys will toggle the "border" and "fill" properties, respectively. Meaning whenever I create a new object, I'm so used to immediately hitting the "B" key that I don't even bother with setting the default any more...
In the same realm, how can I color a graphic (group of shapes) without having to individually select all the separate shapes within that group?
This plugin allows you to select all child layers of a group with a hotkey. I believe there may be others that make this the default functionality.
Also, if you hold command and click an object within a group, it'll select that layer instead of the group. Not exactly the same, but a real time saver.
Along the same lines, if you command click and drag around your group, you will select all the elements for re-coloring without having to individually select the shapes.
Although, if you have a lot of overlapping groups this may not be practical.
Great tip! Thanks!
Thanks all of you, guys.
