Does anyone have a recommendation for a tool/app that facilitates redlining? Basically something where you can draw a line between one point and another and it prints the size of that line in px next to it. I know about XScope but want something that can create an editable file, not just temporary guides.
I use a Photoshop script called pixelmeasure. Make a selection with marquee tool, it takes the longest edge and puts all your measurements in their own layer group.
I've enjoyed using Napkin (http://aged-and-distilled.com/napkin/) for the past few months to send UI feedback.
http://www.pngexpress.com/ has that capability, but I haven't tried it yet.
The ruler tool in fireworks actually does this amazingly well. http://mrare.ca/blog/web-design-adobe-fireworks-redlines
I haven't tried this, but it seems pretty cool.
