This looks promising! I've been on the lookout for a developer to team up with on a side project. How far off do you think you are from launching this?
Thanks! We have the basic site almost done and plan to launch the beta (not really beta, but more so a phase to get feedback and implement features) within the next week.
We're launching our beta in the next week to week-and-a-half. Sign up to get in on that!
Awesome! Already have and look forward to it :)
I was just looking for a service like this!!
Sweet! We can't wait to open it to beta.
Don't worry. It'll be public.
I've been looking for a designer to work with on project ideas for quite some time, but I was never sure how to go about doing that without coming off as awkward. This looks fantastic for that use case.
Thanks!
This is really great! I foresee a "idea man:dev" ratio of something like 10:1 though.. Looking forward to try it out!
But remember: The idea man can also have skills, such as web design.
Precisely! One way we're looking to combat this is the invite system. There's no" idea-man" skill tag. Only design and development related stuff. If you can't produce something, Meeet isn't for you.
Looks pretty neat. Something I've been wanting for a while.
I'd love to find a dev that's willing to work on fun projects on the side. I've got all of these ideas and can design all the screens and assets for them, but can never find anyone that's interested in making them a reality through code. :)
I think we'll be able to help with that. ;)
This is one of the best designed sites I've seen in a while. Great work Cole!

Great stuff Cole. Very excited to get in on this and just hoping the community is the right type of folk.
you the man cole! thanks.
Huge respect for displaying ads in your screenshots, I really dig that level of honesty. Made up my mind instantly to sign up once I saw that.
Looking forward to checking it out, looks like I could finally get those dusty old side projects finished. I couldn't find it on the site, are there any time limits on the projects? I guess I'm wondering what would happen if you were working with someone and they went off the radar for a couple weeks. As you can only work with one person, are you able to sever ties on that relationship?
There aren't time limits, yet. We're going to tackle this by allowing the project owner to "fire" someone. If they don't respond in X days — this is where we're really hemming and hawing — they'll be dropped from the project.
So, is this like Assembly (http://assemblymade.com/) with very little differences? :)
We've seen Assembly Made and feel that we fall in a totally different category. That's monetary based, has larger teams — it's aimed at producing bigger products.
We're didn't build this looking to make a ton of money or give ourselves jobs. We built this because we know a lot of people have some really cool, half-finished projects on the back burner.
We're looking to help you crank out those weekend, late night projects that you started. Not open source projects, necessarily. Not start ups necessarily. We're also keeping accountability and responsibility a bit higher by limiting teams to 2 for now.
