It is me or these articles about "the creatives" are a bit dull? let me point my thought: everyone is creative. Being called just "a creative" it's like an incomplete part of something. The most funny part of this article:
Creatives are the hardest professionals to wrangle and control. It’s because we’re crazy! We see the world in different ways, which is what makes us so good at pulling visual solutions out of thin air. We also have our own set of rules on life and that’s where ethical problems arise.
"Oh, we're so special". No, you're not special at all. You may be crazy just because some people allow you to be it in a work enviroment, but so a coder can do too or a business guy. Crazyness is not related with design. That's the message that business guys want to hear to feed the argumento of desing isn't a science so nothing can be proved. By resting seriousness to our discipline we're harming ourselves for nothing.
Every human on earth can be creative.
"Oh, we're so special". No, you're not special at all

I spend most of my time straddling design/UX and software development. Including recruitment and managing and different times. Stereotypically folk very different attitudes.
Exactly. The. Same. Problems.
Preach. Well put.
Wrote a sorta similar thing, about what power/influence designers have over the ethics of their work. It's not a lot. Same summary though, don't be a twat. http://christhomasdesign.tumblr.com/post/86811231625/power-vs-influence
