Ask DN: Native Mac collaboration tool similar to Kickoff?

over 6 years ago from , Interface Designer

Hey guys,

My partner and I run a small software design studio and are looking to replace Kickoff.

We loved Kickoff. It had the perfect set of features and provided just functionality we needed. Unfortunately, with the lack of updates, it has become buggy and unreliable.

Are there any good, native, Mac alternatives (iOS support is nice too) that offer chat and shared tasks?

Slack is the only way to go! It's totally free and there are apps for Mac, iPhone and Android.

Thanks for the suggestion, Waseem. We've tried Slack, it's a native wrapper, but a lot of the app is made up of web based components. Compared to Kickoff, it really doesn't feel very great :/

Well, that's true. I've been always a fan of native apps but still haven't had any problems with Slack. I'd love to see a native version of it though.
