:)
Lovely branding.
Thank you so much!
So many nice animations. Love your type, too.
Thanks!
Ottimo lavoro.
Grazie mille, sono felice che ti piaccia!
Did you create the hamburger menu to "X" animation yourself? I've been looking for a really easy tutorial on such.
I did create it myself the hamburger menu Feel free to send me an e-mail if you want the code for create it :)
Complimenti. Really nice :)
Thank you so much :D
Excellent work! If you don't mind me asking, did you integrate the Instagram API in your Journal? Been wanting to add something similar to my site. That or VSCO Grid.
I use Tumblr. My Journal is a simple Tumbrl blog :) It is much more simple!
I realized that, once I clicked on the image. Again, beautiful work. Thanks.
Work in progress - iamjoebarber.com
Work in progress? NAH, perfect the way it is! Love it.
Haha. Thanks! If only I could convince myself of that as well. :)
If the some work is under NDA, is it worth putting it on your portfolio? Have you considered not leading with it?
I've thought about not leading with it, but it's all in chronological order. I've got a couple personal projects that will be going in front of it soon :)
This is my favorite.
Thanks human!
You're welcome - but I'm a woman :)
Ahhh! Edited. :)
Perfect :D
EVERYTHING IS HUGE
Yes.
LOL@The Under NDA. That is so frustrating.
It's the worst..
"So what have you been working on for the past year?"
"...nothing I can show you.."
It's really great so far! :-) I'm in the process of revamping my portfolio site right now. Hope I will be able to show everyone soon.
Thanks! Good luck finishing yours!
One slight improvement I would make is to make the center Mac bigger than the two at the sides. It would be physically impossible to create a natural photograph the way they currently are, thus it looks a little fake.
Valid point. Although I was never really aiming for realism.
I might just ditch the laptops completely, so the screens can be bigger.
I made it to the bottom of your website and all I got was this stupid Mailto link
Yep. Looks great!
Haha. I'm glad someone found that. I'm always curious if anyone clicks it
I think you should remove the work in progress blurb at the bottom of the page. Regardless of you're opinions on the site I think it looks unprofessional and lazy, putting myself in a potential clients shoes, that could reflect badly on you. Its all about first impressions and to me it gives of a sense that you're going to half ass a clients project when that is totally not the case. Other then that it looks pretty cool, an interesting approach. I would look to add a little prompt telling users to scroll.
I disagree that's it's unprofessional and lazy. It's an iterative experiment (I should probably switch the link to direct to the github commits page). I don't have the time to plan out a portfolio to the level I would plan out client work, nor do I really think that's a valuable use of my time. Because of that, I've come up with this solution. I think being transparent about that is valuable. It may not seem professional to a freelance/contract client, but frankly I don't give a shit. That's not what I built the site for. I'd have a completely different feel to my site if I was trying to solicit work.
It's a portfolio, not a company. It's one of very few places where I can just do whatever I want with little to no regard for affordances or usability. I mean, the only contact link in the site is hidden inside a giant "KTHXBYE" that's only affordance is a cursor change.
TL;DR: Nah, It's a site I work on for fun, to give an image of me as a person and designer, not to solicit client work.
Cool man that works perhaps when you have more time it can all be refined, I think in my opinion I prefer to see more fleshed out portfolios but given your objectives I totally see where you're coming from.
Probably too late now, but here's mine: http://samm.me
Yours is great, loved the animations. So simple and sleek!
Wow, thank you so much! Means a lot!
(Just realised all the pictures were low-res... fixed now)
ah this is rad!
That footer is a ton of fun.
I love that face icon. It reminds me of Ryan Putnam's style.
Thanks! Yeah a friend of mine drew it for me, think the guy is a huge inspiration for her. All of the illustration stuff coming out from Dropbox lately is golden.
Love it. What library are you using for the bouncy tooltips, out of curiosity?
Thanks Mitch! Those I coded myself, couldn't find anything lightweight I'd like. Feel free to grab the code.
You're awesome. Thanks!
This one is my favourite.
Brilliant work on the Obama Contribution Platform.
Thanks James, really appreciate that. I had the pleasure of working with some incredibly talented people on this.
I don't know why but Readmill going away makes me angry. And I don't ever use it. Maybe because it was such well designed and well thought out product.
really like your photography, following you on instagram now :D
Thanks man!
RIP Readmill.
Are you going to just have 3 columns instead of 4 in that footer area once Readmill sunsets?
Debating what to put there because I don't want to just arbitrarily throw something in so I can keep that API bar.
I also don't want to get rid of it.
Who knows.
Wow, cool Instagram feed! Are these all iPhone-only? Or DSLR?
A big majority are iphone, but some others are mixed in from GoPro, Fuji X-Pro and Canon 5dmkII
All of the ones in the last ~2 years are post processed with VSCO
This is awesome!!! I love it! I've been planning on doing editorial articles on my blog but my time hasn't allowed yet. Great portfolio!! I love it!
Thanks Juliano - really glad you liked it.
I hear that too - I have been trying to put together a new blog post for months. Just no time in the day.
I don't have one.
My portfolio is: www.ndrsn.dk
beautifully presented!
Thanks!
Guess I'm 4 months late to the party but holy crap this is one of the cleanest and most pleasing portfolios I've ever seen. Stunned!
Really love your colours/art direction on this. Nice work!
Thank you
Love the about page. The work experience section looks really clean, great hierarchy
Here's mine, http://bil.al
Still need to add content.. http://www.paulvonexcite.com
Amazing Calligraphy !!
Thanks!
My portfolio: http://www.robbertesser.com
Nice grid
Always improving & updating: http://javinladish.com
Really like the Fade effect mimics one page.
I love the simplicity man!!! For some reason, I prefer these clean, simple portfolio sites than the one with a ton of stuff. Of course, every objective is unique and different but I prefer simple over too much. :) Great job!!
Love your work with Frank & Oak!
Thanks Alice :)
I was very lucky to join when there was only a handful of people in a really small workspace. We had quite a blast doing everything ourselves, from our respective trade skills (design, dev, etc) to learning to handle shipping, do customer service or even redesign space for inventory, etc...
In the end, I left a very different and significantly bigger F&O than the one I joined, I have learned so much in so little time and would recommend joining that kind of startup just for that. For that everything-else-you-wouldn't-think-of that you learn by just making stuff happen.
Shoutout from Montreal ;)
Great work dude, nice site. Unfortunately, the back button is broken - just get a white screen :(
Thanks mate, not sure what you mean by the "back" button? The browser back button works fine for me :-)
The animation on your personal site is so cool.
Thanks man!
Always love what you've got going on!
Here's mine! http://guitrasher.com/
I'm using a modified version of a Dunked portfolio. It was just something I could get up and in the wild while I work on a wordpress version.

Work in progress/what I have up until I decide what I actually want to do.
Looking good so far, brother! The changing title is pretty funny. Also, if you're ever in Chicago, say hello, and we'll grab lunch and talk front-end! @poopsplat
I'm in Chicago all summer! We should definitely do that. What part of Chicago are you from?
I'll be living in Noble Square starting sunday — where are you at? Drop me a line at matt.m.soria@gmail.com and we'll meet up sometime!

So many awesome portfolio's!
I'm not currently showing work so I wouldn't call it my portfolio. But my personal site can be found here

Some lovely portfolios here. I don't think I've ever been happy with mine (this version needs some serious time on it), I always think keep it quick, simple and minimal though – http://eliothill.co.uk
I renew my portfolio two weeks ago. If you wanna look at it, My portfolio page
Just finished redesigning my site. Parts of my portfolio are online, still working on getting the rest of it online, but you can check out the work in progress at :

It's always hard to create your own, I am 100x more critical of my own website than I am when working on a client site!
Last years portfolio... need to update http://naxeem.com/_^
My site in which to put work: http://hellonicolas.com
That's mine. It's kind of a perpetual work in progress as I come up with ways of presenting my stuff in a better way.
Not finished yet, but here it is : http://adrien.maston.me
Nice portfolios up there!
So far only my projects from university. Can't show the stuff I made at work so far.
I just started so I'd love some feedback/advice from everyone!
Working in a proper version of my website. Until then, here's my work: imhugo.com Cheers.
Need to get around to a design refresh but that's how it stands :)
New one on its way.
Luis La Torre // lulato
It's probably too late but here it is mine too. http://julianomoreira.com P.S: It's almost 3 years old. Working on a new one. Coming soon!
Mine really is not as much of a portfolio moreso than a showcase of projects. I just started focusing on design more recently, so I'm in the process of re-designing the entire layout to something more modern and showcasing my works.
This thread makes me want to rebuild my portfolio site, and get more interesting clients.
This is my personal site, unfortunately none of my work is actually up, though I have some case studies planned. I'm finishing a 'work' page that will talk about what I do and stream dribbble.
More sort of a placeholder until I have decided how to handle my online presence in the future: http://fabric8.de
I'd love to have something like uploading everything to behance and simply take the data via their api/json and display it on my own site the way I want. This seems to work nowadays, so quite possible that this will be the next step (Along with some redesign).
My portfolio: http://dribbble.com/giel
Simple landing page for now -- http://ayamflow.fr
Still a work in progress :S - http://www.daveong.com/
I don't code but asked my good friend/developer to help me out so its just the designs I worked on.
Feedback is very much welcome :)

Writing up the page for "Replica" and "Focus", but debating just uploading them to Behance (some of you might remember my Replica post here from a while back...). Never got into Behance since it didn't seem to have the right affordance for web/mobile designers as with print designers.
On that note, anyone have a Dribbble invite? :D.
Here is my portfolio: http://stevenfabre.com
Some more work needs to be done, but I thought I would share anyway...
The beauty in design is its* absence.

This is mine, I'm kind of new and I don't have that much stuff in my portfolio to showcase.
Also, I'm seeing lots of beautiful work in here but I still feel very proud of my website.
It is in Spanish by the way.

Would some feedback and to hear your thoughts :)
Sort of a work in progress: http://nourmalaeb.com/
Feedback welcome!
Love your portfolio. Your projects are presented really nicely. I would say though as a comment that I would kill your mouse over states for the homepage. With the hit states being so wide it looks more like a strange twitch than an interaction as you scoll down the page. I really like Line6's products, I'm guessing the AMPLIFI project was engaging and fun to work on!
Thanks Jason. I'll see what it looks like without the mouseover states for the homepage. Maybe something more obvious would work better.
Line6 was a blast to work on! I feel lucky to have been part of the project, and the product came out great.
Thanks for looking, appreciate the feedback.
Permanent work in progress - http://aislinnkelly.com/

great idea, here is my site with skrollr parallax & recent work.

Here's mine, be nice, it's a bit outdated :) http://mnv.es
been meaning to update it for a year, but whatevs
Would love feedback: http://bnb.im. I know about the whitespace on the side in Chrome--I'll be working to fix that as soon as I can.
cool background! i'd say center the header info or do something else with it to make the content gap below the paragraph and the fold seem less accidental. also, i'm not personally a fan of the font. it looks too much like times new roman, making it look like there should be another font to load that isn't. i'd also add some more vertical margin between your works to match the horizontal margin between the image and the description. the social icons don't seem to be centered either.
it looks good and with a few tweaks i think it could be great!
Needs updating but..
Looking to update it soon, so any feedback is welcome.
Still operating off of a fairly simple scheme but slowly and surely piecing projects into unique, custom posts.
Really needs an update...
josephalfonso.com still working on getting some clickable prototypes and adding in some elements to dress it up and bit and practice some coding.
