I want a stand-alone Mac app for listening to the Podcasts I'm subscribed to in my iTunes account.

Does something like that exist?

If not, and I design it, does anyone wanna build it?

  This. Also I don't think there's a substantial market for that. Mostly people listen to them on the go. When working I can only focus on the work and listen to music and not to somebody speak.
