I've been an Uncrate reader for a number of years but I can't say I'm a particular fan of this re-design. The rhythm of the previous layout felt a lot more casual and genuine - like a blog. Now I feel like I'm browsing Firebox.com. My attention is drawn to the buy buttons rather than the beautiful imagery and informative copy I have always visited for.

hmm... I don't like how you have to click on a post to finish reading it, and the page looks more cluttered.

all in all, in this case I'll go with "if it's not broken, don't change it"
