This is great. I think there is a very important point being made here, which is the question of whether or not Apple's current "app store" set up is overall beneficial for the app ecosystem.
I am also noticing a shift from emphasizing good product/design towards "app store optimization".
What happened to all those great mobile ad platforms that were the big craze at mobile conferences? One would (maybe naively) think that there would be better ways to market & find apps by now :)
