    Passes may have changed, however the whole industry is crying for a major disruption.

    Things are pretty much the same for decades.

    With that said, the opportunities to innovate by re-designing every aspect of the industry are more than a lot.

      Disrupting the airline industry is incredibly hard — not only most of the market is in the hands of handful of huge corporations creating extremely locked in systems and platforms (vide: Sabre Airline Solutions). Not to mention everything is also extremely regulated for obvious reasons.

        True, however progress will come eventually.

        Do you imagine humanity using planes and 'paper' (passes) for traveling in 20 years from now?

        All it takes is a brave "Jobs" or "Musk" to trigger the first wave of change.
