Here's a discussion we had about 8 months ago. Pretty much exactly the same situation as now, except they removed the downvotes. Which was a mistake in my eyes.

You have to question who's even in charge? They seemed to have put Matthew Hollingsworth at the helm, whom is clearly very unqualified.

The community has given their ideas in previous topics on this. DN isn't going to change until they decide they want to change. As it is now, they seem perfectly fine with the site being a spam dumping ground.
