Guy is not a gender neutral term.
Sigh.
No, it's not. But it's easier to evolve language than it is to evolve people's habits.
However, I would be willing to bet that you have on more than one occasion seen a group of women or otherwise announce their arrival to a group by using the term "guys" as a collective. The term itself can be evolved, and already is in the process of doing so.
Nope. I'm gender neutral and do not refer to groups as "guys".

Didn't see that one coming
As an aside. Why don't we collectively push for the word "guy" to be used as gender-neutral term (*in the way you would often see a person - of any gender - walk in to a cafe where their friends - of any gender - are eating, and say, "Hi guys!") instead of forcing people to integrate into a different paradigm to suit your opinion?
Personally, I have no problems with gender neutral terms. But forcing integration isn't the way to go IMO. Changing the term is a far more frictionless and organic way to go about language adoption.
