I use the same prefix and suffix for all of my passwords, with the website's name in it. From a security standpoint, is this a bad idea?
Depends whether one password is decrypted and a human sees it or if the machine doing it is intelligent enough to see the pattern. I would have access to all your accounts with only one password decrypted, that's for sure.
Yes it is, since it's predictable in a way.
