      Eh, not quite. They're essentially creating an MVNO here, with the value proposition being the ability to switch between two LTE networks (Sprint and T-Mobile). They're still leasing network infrastructure from big telcos.

        Understood, but I think this is just a first step. Set up on established infrastructure and then slowly migrate to your own or regulations push telcos into being cheaper dumber pipes.

        Not the same approach they are taking with Google Fiber, but the same overall plan of showing the country that we can get better if we had companies that gave a shit.

      In some countries anyway. In Ireland this is actually more expensive than our current PAYG offerings. We're spoilt over here.
